Had a pretty good weekend. We went to Rockford to get my ring fitted and we're picking it up next weekend! 2 weeks until our concert, so we have lots of extra rehearsals. Nicole came up this weekend too, and since I didn't have any good Nicole quotes from last weekend, I got a good one friday night. We had been talking about gastric bypasses earlier in the night, and then we were talking about this fat guy that Dave works with. Then Nicole says:
"Maybe he should get the gastrinomical bypass."
It was really funny. And she wasn't exactly sober. Ah, Nicole you love me.

Oh, and fuck you MSU nerds who get a fall break! I waited for that decision to pass for years, only to have it pass my last year and then have it ripped away from me. 10 weeks with no break makes Candice something something. At least I get a 6 week christmas break.

I had a really great weekend, tiring, but fun. I went to STL to go to Chris Kern's wedding (Chris Cox now), and had a good time. Nicole, Roxanda and I danced a lot and pretended that the oldies were actually hip-hop. Katie danced some (wink wink). The cake was good. The open bar was even better. I got to go to a mall too, which I miss a lot. It seems stupid until you experience no mall. If you want to go shopping for clothes here you have to drive to all the different stores and it takes a lot of time.

School's going well. I'm going to be writing a lengthy paper for one of my classes and this is my topic:
Steel Pan Development in Trinidad and Tobago and its Migration to the United States.

My kitties are licking each other and its cute.

When you look up "Cats licking" on google, half the picture you get are of cats, the other half porn.

Chaos and Creation in the Backyard
By Paul McCartney

Man, I thought SMS had some serious partyers. Nothing compared to here. I just recently read about the famous "Kegs and Eggs" at The Barn (a bar). I wondered what it was and later found out that The Barn opens at 5am the day of Homecoming to serve breakfast and beer. Some people actually get up that early to go drink beer before the Homecoming festivities. That's dedication.

Paul McCartney's new album rocks!!!

I love sitting in the music computer lab and listening to jazz combo rehearsal in the background.

What are you doing November 4-6th? Nothing you say? well then you need to come up to visit me in DeKalb! My steelband concert is November 6th at 3pm and it's gonna be the best concert you will ever go to, I promise. (I also MIGHT have a solo. Or I might not). If that's not enough, my birthday is the 8th, so we will be celebrating all weekend. And, if you like Trey from Phish, he'll be playing at NIU on Nov, 4th. How could you say no to all that? We also might visit Chicago that weekend too! I've already got a little group of people coming up, so carpooling is a possiblilty. Please let me know if you are interested, and please be interested, I miss all my missouri friends.

Look at what I'm listening to!
